Colleen Hoffenbacker’s inclusion in the “Women Rising” exhibition reflects a curatorial emphasis on layered visual language and expanded vision. Her work merges historical depth with hybrid methodologies, weaving painterly environments that echo both mythic structure and emergent technologies. Hoffenbacker’s painting was selected for its resonance with the exhibition’s theme — contributing to a collective dialogue among Pacific Northwest artists whose practices explore diverse perspectives across media, concept, and form. The exhibit, in collaboration with Allied Arts of Whatcom County, will be displayed at the Dakota Art Gallery in Bellingham.
