about the artist
Colleen Hoffenbacker is featured in The Secret Show at the Jane Gallery. Hoffenbacker’s art bridges atelier craft and contemporary visual systems. Rooted in a hybrid process that pairs classical technique with a serene digital edge, the work opens into a surreal floral world, where something quiet and luminous waits just beyond the visible. For The Secret Show, Hoffenbacker’s contribution extends into the realm of the hidden and the enchanted, offering botanical forms that feel both familiar and otherworldly.
the secret show vip preview
Join us for an intimate and enchanting preview of artworks presented by Era Contemporary and curated by Emma Hapner, where select guests are invited to experience the exhibition before it opens to the public. This secret evening offers a first look at the works, along with the opportunity to browse and collect pieces in a private, unhurried setting.
Inspired by the decadent elegance of Marie Antoinette and the layered mystique of secrecy, the evening unfolds as a modern rococo reverie: ornate, playful, and slightly subversive. Think powdered pastels and hidden messages, opulence with a wink. Rococo-inspired attire is encouraged, though not required.
Guests will enjoy high tea, light bites, and Rococo surprises, curated to echo the spirit of the show. The curators and gallerists will be present throughout the evening, offering insight into the works and the hidden narratives that connect them.
EXHIBITION STATEMENT
“This is a secret celebration of art, beauty, and discovery—designed for collectors and friends of the gallery who delight in being just a little ahead of the curtain. ”
ABOUT era contemporary
Era Contemporary Gallery is devoted to contemporary artists whose work merges technical mastery with poetic surrealism, emotional resonance, and narrative depth. Founded by Jessica Libor, the gallery presents exhibitions that treat art as a portal into beauty, archetype, enchantment, and the imagination. From visionary figuration and surreal landscapes to mystical interiors and contemporary mythologies, Era Contemporary champions artists who work with symbolism, allegory, classical technique reimagined for modern themes, feminine interiority, ecological myth, and metaphysical storytelling. Through online and in‑person exhibitions, art fair presentations, and curated pop‑up salons, the gallery cultivates a collector community attuned to works that are intimate, transcendent, and impeccably crafted. Era Contemporary envisions a return to mystery, care, and craft—inviting viewers to enter each exhibition as a world unto itself.
